Contest Update: Entries Closed for the KakakiNews FIFA World Cup 2026 Predict & Win Challenge

Entries for the inaugural KakakiNews FIFA World Cup 2026 Predict & Win Challenge officially closed at 7:30 PM (WAT) on Friday, July 10, 2026, marking the end of the submission phase for our first-ever football prediction competition.

We received 9 submissions, including internal test entries used to verify the competition system before launch. Only valid entries submitted before the deadline will be included in the official scoring after the FIFA World Cup Final.

To everyone who participated, shared the contest with friends and family, and supported this initiative, thank you.

The response has been encouraging and reinforces what we have believed from the very beginning. Nigerian football fans enjoy more than watching matches. They enjoy discussing tactics, making predictions, debating outcomes, and testing their football knowledge against fellow fans.

That is exactly the kind of community KakakiNews hopes to build.

Why We Created This Contest

The KakakiNews FIFA World Cup 2026 Predict & Win Challenge was created to give football fans an exciting way to engage with the biggest sporting event in the world.

Many online giveaways depend entirely on luck. We wanted something different.

Instead of asking participants to like a post or leave a random comment, we invited them to analyse the tournament and answer a series of prediction questions covering the World Cup champion, finalists, Golden Boot winner, Player of the Tournament, goals in the final and a tie-breaker.

Every entry reflected football knowledge, careful thinking and genuine interest in the competition.

For us, the objective was never just to give away cash prizes. It was to create an experience that brings football fans together while encouraging meaningful participation throughout the tournament.

About KakakiNews

KakakiNews was established to become a trusted destination for quality journalism, thoughtful analysis and engaging stories across sports, business, technology, entertainment, lifestyle and national affairs.

Our commitment goes beyond publishing news.

We want to create a platform where readers can participate, share opinions, exchange ideas and enjoy major events together as a community.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 Predict & Win Challenge is the first of many reader engagement initiatives we plan to organise. Future competitions and community activities will cover events such as the UEFA Champions League, Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the English Premier League and other major sporting competitions.

Our vision is simple.

To build one of Nigeria’s most engaging digital communities while delivering credible journalism and creating opportunities that reward our readers for their passion and participation.

Thank You to Our Founding Sponsors

The KakakiNews FIFA World Cup 2026 Predict & Win Challenge would not have been possible without the generous support of our Founding Sponsors.

Their generous contributions funded the ₦45,000 prize pool and made it possible for us to keep participation completely free for football fans across Nigeria.

We sincerely appreciate their confidence in this initiative and their commitment to supporting community engagement through sports.

In the coming days, we will introduce each of our Founding Sponsors and share more about the outstanding work they do within their respective industries and communities.

What Happens After the Final

With entries now officially closed, attention turns to the remaining FIFA World Cup matches.

After the World Cup Final, every valid entry will be carefully verified and scored using the official FIFA results and the published scoring system.

Where two or more participants finish with the same total score, the published tie-breaker rules will be applied to determine the final rankings.

Transparency and fairness remain our priority throughout the entire process.

Looking Ahead

Although entries for this competition have now closed, this is only the beginning.

KakakiNews will continue creating opportunities for readers to engage through prediction contests, community activities and quality sports coverage around major football tournaments and other significant events.

We believe that great journalism should do more than inform people. It should connect people, encourage conversations and build communities around shared interests.

That is the future we are working towards.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who helped spread the word by sharing the contest on social media and recommending it to fellow football fans. Your support introduced KakakiNews to new readers and played an important role in the success of this first edition.
